Pirating content is making a comeback (again) thanks to the streaming wars. Given the influx of streaming services created to compete with Netflix, such as Disney+, Apple TV Plus, and Peacock, people are now turning back to torrenting their favorite shows instead of paying multiple subscription fees.

So you spin the dial and something is playing on Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, HBO Now, Prime Video and Showtime, but you don't get to choose anything or even know what is coming up one. So its useful if you're really bored and just want to jump in at the middle of something. It may even convince you to subscribe to one of the services. And of course for many born in a different country, it may be interesting to see some of these services that you have no access to (due to geofencing).
